How Scoring Works

The Indian Naval Civilian Entrance Test (INCET) skill test for Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Typist, and Administrative Assistant is conducted on computer consoles under DoPT guidelines. Candidates must achieve 10,500 Key Depressions Per Hour (KDPH) in English (35 WPM) or 9,000 KDPH in Hindi (30 WPM) over 10 minutes. The test is strictly qualifying in nature; final merit ranking is determined exclusively by Tier-I CBT written examination marks.

Practice Tips

  • ›Aim for 40 WPM in practice to comfortably exceed the 10,500 KDPH quota with plenty of time to spare.
  • ›Check your keyboard hardware thoroughly during pre-exam warmup to ensure smooth keystroke response.
